Faulkner University - A Christian University
Faulkner University has been a piece of Montgomery, Alabama, since 1942 when Dr. Rex Turner, Dr. Leonard Johnson and Joe Greer set up Montgomery Bible College on a couple of sections of land on Ann Street. Their main goal was to make a foundation that gave minister preparing and instruction situated in God's Holy Word. Throughout the years, the school kept on developing. It was renamed Alabama Christian College in 1953, and after 11 years the present property on the Atlanta Highway was obtained. In 1975, the school opened augmented grounds in Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile.
The Thomas Goode Jones School of Law was gained in 1983, and after a year the school was certify as a four-year college. In 1985, the school was renamed Faulkner University to pay tribute to long-term supporter, trustee and executive of the board, Dr. James Faulkner of Bay Minette, Ala. The college is presently home to five universities: the Alabama Christian College of Arts and Sciences, the Harris College of Business and Executive Education, the V.P. Dark College of Biblical Studies, the College of Education, and the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. A developing number of degree projects are currently offered on the web, notwithstanding on-ground programs at our grounds. In the years since the school got to be Faulkner University, the grounds' physical plant has developed to incorporate new structures for classrooms and organization, new living arrangement corridors and flats, an understudy multiplex, present day offices for the football, soccer, baseball and softball programs, and an expressive arts theater that houses the acclaimed Faulkner University Dinner Theater.
